Ederer Minikami Retreat
An addition to an existing eco-retreat to add a parking garage, convert the existing garage to a guest house, and add overhangs & covered walkways to more successfully adapt the existing cabin to the challenges of ten feet of annual snowfall. A green roof with native plantings on top of the parking structure helps integrate the building with the landscape & suppress the scale of the garage. Snow fences and new overhangs and a breezeway connection are added to the guest house and the cabin to more effectively protect the buildings & control the snow accumulations.
