The second project in a series of Umbrella Houses designed as market homes for Urban Infillers. This development features a pair of houses that are laid into a steep hillside.

Following in the footsteps of the Phinney Ridge prototype, the house features a stucco exterior with recessed trimless windows, low maintenance finishes, and a commercial grade envelope design. On the interior we continued with the minimalist trim profiles and flush base details for the millwork. Bathrooms and kitchens are accented with a variety of durable and distinctive finishes, including over-sized porcelain tiles, ceramic mosaics, glass mosaics, limestone tile, and granite slabs. This development features a pair of houses that are laid into a steep hillside. Both houses have a building section that steps up the hill until it reaches a point where the main floor can be connected to a level yard that is terraced into the hillside. Each kitchen features a ten foot wide fold/slide door that can open completely onto a garden terrace that is covered with a clear greenhouse roof, providing ample opportunity to open the interior living spaces of the house to the decks and landscape beyond.
